Due Monday 4.6 @noon:

  • P1: Final Project 1 Due Date Publish in Webflow. Copy and paste site link to D2L Assignments > P1 (I’ve decided to remove exporting from Webflow and uploading to ftp.cassreese.com from the assignment). 

Last week, we completed Blog 3, Warmup 5, and began P1 development
Next week, we will begin P2

P1 Project Submission Checklist

Cloning Policy Reflection

Citations & Attribution

  • Cite all external content with links and sources at the bottom of each page.

Title & Page Setup (Webflow)

  • Set a unique title tag: Go to Page Settings → SEO Settings → Title Tag.

Images & Optimization

  • Optimize images (size, format, quality).
  • Use Image Elements for content-related images; Background Images for decorative elements.
  • Avoid large text blocks in images.
  • Break up multi-image sequences.
  • Set alt text in the image settings panel.
  • Use descriptive file names (no spaces).

Typography & Styling

  • Make headings distinct from paragraphs.
  • Use color, size, and style for clear hierarchy.
  • Style hyperlinks: Remove underlines (text-decoration: none), use border-bottom instead.

Layout & Readability

  • Ensure clear prominent moments for easy scanning.
  • Maintain consistent spacing & alignment.

Functionality & Testing

  • Test all links.
  • Check responsiveness using Webflow’s preview & breakpoints.

Medium Process Work

5. Discord Prompt #4: Webflow War Stories

Prompt (1pt):
Webflow is awesome… until you hit a roadblock. Then it’s frustratingly awesome. This week, share a challenge you’re facing in Webflow right now (big or small!). Maybe it’s a weird quickstack issue, a mysterious margin gap, or something that just isn’t working how you expected.

  • What’s the issue? (consider including screenshots or a quick screen recording!)
  • Have you already tried something that didn’t work?
  • If you did solve a tricky problem recently, share what was happening and how you fixed it!
